The list of 10,000 successful candidates for the constable and specialist positions has been approved and released by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
According to PSC, the selected candidates were dispersed throughout the nation’s 774 LGAs.
The commission claims that in order to guarantee justice and fairness, a rigorous recruitment process preceded the release of the list.
“The Police Service Commission has approved and released the list of 10,000 successful applicants for recruitment into the constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force,” stated Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations at PSC, in a statement on Tuesday.
“While 1,000 applicants were recruited for the Specialists cadre, 9,000 applicants were approved for recruitment for General Duty.”
Ani stated that in order to guarantee fairness in the distribution of the selected candidates among the nation’s 774 local government districts, the commission collaborated with pertinent parties such as the Nigeria Police Force, the National Assembly, and the Federal Character Commission.
“I am filled with optimism because these young men and women represent the future of our nation’s security, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that their journey begins on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and excellence,” stated Dr. Solomon Arase, the Chairman of the Commission.
“Every step of the way shows a conscious effort to create a Police Force that is capable, dependable, and accurately represents the best that Nigeria has to offer.”
Successful applicants are advised to use the PSC recruitment help desk for complaints or questions, or to check the status of their application via the PSC website.
