BREAK: An additional five Eagles arrive Uyo

In anticipation of Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup MatchDay 3 matchup against visiting Bafana Bafana of South Africa, five more players have reported to the Super Eagles camp in Uyo.
The men’s senior national team’s Team Media Officer (TMO), Promise Efoghe, stated that the addition of Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka, and Paul Onuachu to the team brought the total number of players in camp up to 20.

The players were escorted to the team’s Ibom Hotel and Resorts in time for lunch after arriving at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, just after noon on a private jet organized by the Nigeria Football Federation.

Due to the organized labor strike that caused domestic flights to be grounded, only fifteen players trained yesterday.

The final three players are Maduka Okoye, the goalie, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman, who are anticipated later today.
